St Peter's Anglican Church, Peterborough is a Christian congregation of the Anglican Church of Australia. Our registered charitable purpose is straightforward and enduring: to provide and maintain a place for worship, to offer fellowship and hospitality, and to provide pastoral care to our members and the wider community.
We are a small parish, but our doors are open to all. Sunday by Sunday we gather to pray, to hear the Scriptures read and preached, and to share in the sacrament of Holy Communion according to the traditions of the Anglican Church. Beyond our worship, we seek to be a caring, hospitable community that reflects the love of Christ to everyone in Peterborough and the surrounding districts.

The Anglican Diocese of Willochra was founded in 1915, carved out of the Diocese of Adelaide to serve the vast rural and remote regions of northern and western South Australia. In the diocese's earliest years, Peterborough was an important centre of Anglican ministry, and for a time the Bishop of Willochra was based here in our town.
St Peter's Anglican Church continues that long tradition of faithful worship and service in Peterborough today. As one of many congregations spread across the great distances of the diocese, our parish remains committed to keeping the doors of the church open, maintaining a place of worship, and caring for the people of our community.
The Diocese of Willochra is one of the three Anglican dioceses of South Australia, with its cathedral church — Saints Peter and Paul — located in Port Pirie.
Rooted in the Anglican tradition and the Christian faith, these values guide how we worship and serve.
We honour God through prayer, Scripture and the sacraments, maintaining a place of worship for all who wish to come.
Every person is made in the image of God. We welcome visitors and newcomers with warmth, without exception.
We offer pastoral care to the sick, the lonely and the grieving, walking with people through every season of life.
We are proud to serve regional and remote South Australia, standing with our neighbours in country towns.
We share hospitality, friendship and mutual support, building a community that belongs to one another.
As a registered charity, we are committed to transparency, good governance and accountability to our community.
St Peter's Anglican Church, Peterborough is a not-for-profit organisation and a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). We operate solely for charitable religious purposes and hold status as a Basic Religious Charity.
No part of our income or assets is distributed for private benefit. All support and offerings received are used to maintain our place of worship and to further our charitable mission of worship, fellowship, hospitality and pastoral care in our community.
