1. Who we are

St Peter's is a small Anglican parish at 53 Kitchener St, Peterborough SA 5422, part of the Anglican Diocese of Willochra and registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC). You can reach us at info@diowillochra.net.au or (08) 8651 2271.

2. What information we collect

We collect only the information you choose to give us, typically when you:

• email, phone or write to us (your name, contact details and message);
• request prayer or pastoral care (shared only with those who will pray or respond);
• arrange a baptism, wedding or funeral;
• make a donation (your name and transfer reference, so we can receipt and thank you);
• join our parish notices list.

Our website form opens your own email application — the information you enter is sent by you, directly to us, as an ordinary email. This website itself does not store form submissions in a database.

3. Confidentiality of pastoral matters

Prayer requests, pastoral visits and counselling conversations are treated as confidential within our ministry team. We do not share them outside the parish without your consent, except where the law requires it (for example, where someone is at risk of harm).

4. How we use your information

• To respond to you and provide the care or service you've asked for;
• To arrange services, sacraments and pastoral visits;
• To issue donation receipts and keep records required by law;
• To send parish notices you have asked to receive.

We never sell, rent or trade personal information.

5. Storage and security

Information you send us is held in our parish email account and administrative records, with access limited to those who need it. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and keep financial records for the period required by Australian law.

6. Cookies and analytics

This is a static website. It does not set advertising cookies, does not use tracking pixels and does not run third-party analytics. Fonts load from Google Fonts, which may record standard web server logs such as your IP address when font files are fetched.

7. Access and correction

You may ask to see, correct or delete personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing info@diowillochra.net.au. We will respond within a reasonable time and at no charge.

8. Complaints

If you believe we have breached your privacy, please contact us first so we can put it right. If you remain unsatisfied, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with its revision date.
